A microphone 19 is carried on a boom 6 which is slidably mounted in a housing 13 pivotally attached to a yoke 7, 12 which is supported on an earpiece 2 by a tubular swivel pin 8, the microphone leads 18 being threaded through an internal bore of the boom 6 and then through a hole 20 in the side wall of the boom, through a slot 21 extending along one side of the housing 13, and through the tubular swivel pin 8.
