892,342. Toothed gearing. DE HAVILLAND ENGINE CO. Ltd. Oct. 30, 1959 [Nov. 19, 1958], No. 37285/58. Class 80 (1). [Also in Group XXXV] A reduction gear system 19 conveying a drive from a motor-driven shaft 2 to a magnetic structure 16 comprises two planet gears 56 supported via bearings 57, 58 by carrier plates 60, 61 and meshing with teeth on the shaft 2 and on two ring gears 25, 52. The ring gear 25 is stationary and the two gears have very slightly differing numbers of teeth, e.g. 148, 150, whereby the ring gear 52 drives the structure 16, to which it is secured, at a very low speed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 832,694.
