892,186. Inspecting fabrics. TEXTILMASCHINENBAU GERA VEB. Feb. 4, 1960, No. 4078/60. Drawings to Specification. Class 42 (2). In a method of inspecting both sides of a length of cloth, it is passed twice over a viewing table in the same direction and turned about its longitudinal centre line between the two viewed portions. The cloth may be turned twice by 180 degrees by passing it over two rollers set at right angles to each other and then reversed back over the table parallel to the first viewed portion of the cloth, the table being more than twice the width of the cloth. In a second embodiment a roller for reversing the direction of the cloth is placed between the two twisting rollers and the table is formed in two parts placed one behind the other in the direction of travel of the cloth.
