890,625. Hand saws. KAMMERLING, W. C. H., KAMMERLING, A. H. C. G., KAMMERLING, O. I., and MEYERRATKEN, M. I., [trading as CEKA WORKS]. Feb. 1, 1961. [Feb. 2, 1960], No. 3661/60. Class 61. In a hacksaw having a bow 2 which holds a cutting blade in tension by engagement of the outer ends of the limbs 1, 9 of the stressed bow with pins on the end of the blade and wherein a handle 3 is provided on one of the limbs, one or each of the outer ends of the limbs is provided with a cross slot 5 extending from the extremity of the limb transverse of the slot 6 which receives the blade. The width of the slot or slots 5 is such that they can receive the cross pins 7 of the blade 8. The depth of each slot 5 is such that when the pins 7 are at the blind end of the slots, the toothed edge of the blade lies just within the limbs. In a modification the cross slots are inclined towards the middle of the bow. In another modification the blind end of each cross slot terminates at a notch extending towards the space between the limbs of the bow.
