Abstract
890,131. Books. MULLER, H. O. Aug. 4, 1959 [Jan. 23, 1959], No. 26592/59. Class 16 A book containing sample sheets of material, e.g. wallpaper, has connected thereto a pocket which contains a sound record e.g. a gramophone record or tape recording, bearing information relating to the samples. The pocket 4 is attached to the inside of one cover of the book by rivets and is closed by a zip fastener. The sample sheets adjacent the pocket are cut away to accommodate the pocket when the book is closed. Alternatively, the pocket is attached to the outside of the book, the covers held closed by ribbons, and the book provided with a strap handle. In other embodiments the pocket is attached to the book by one or more chains, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), and the pocket maintained in position by inserting two of its corners through slits in a cover or by inserting it under an elastic band attached to the cover. Each chain may have a snap hook at its free end which detachably engages a hole in the pocket and in the rim of the gramaphone record, the zip fastener being omitted in this case. Lastly, the pocket may have the same dimensions as the sample sheets and be bound in the book together with the sample sheets. The pocket may be made from transparent material.
