Abstract
886,020. Threshing machines. AGROSTROJ PROSTEJOV, NARODNI PODNIK. May 2, 1958 [Aug. 10, 1957], No. 14066/58. Class 6(3). A threshing machine comprises a threshing cylinder 1 with rotating tined drums 7, 8 parallel to it and a vibrating grating 15 beneath the drums, the drums and grating being mounted in a common chamber and the drums rotating at different speeds and in the opposite direction to the threshing cylinder, the grating opening on to a collecting chamber 32 containing a transverse auger 37 and a blower with three outlets 27, 28, 29, Fig. 2, one outlet being connected to a curved grain-channel 30, Fig. 1, leading to a grain-bagging housing 31, another being connected to an injector nozzle 35<SP>1</SP> of a chaff-discharge conduit 33 and the third being connected to a nozzle blowing air into the conduit 33. Each of the drums 7, 8 is longitudinally divided into two alternate halfcylinders to produce an eccentric shaking action. A concave 22 co-operates with the drum 8 and feeds grain (which may be entrained with the straw) back to the threshing cylinder; the straw is ejected through an outlet behind a curtain 26. The blower 4 is coaxial with the threshing cylinder 1. The auger 37 feeds the seeds transversely to an impeller 38 which ejects them into a dressing shoe 39 where they filter through a sieve 41 and hopper 40 into the arcuate seedchannel 30, chobs being sucked off through a conduit 44 leading back to the threshing drum. The seed channel has aerofoil-shaped partitions 48, 48<SP>1</SP> which separate the stream of seeds into streams passing to separate sacking outlets 54. Suction is applied, through an orifice 46, to the flying seeds, to suck off chaff.
