885,769. Securing knobs on shafts. PERKINELMER CORPORATION. July 1, 1960 [July 29, 1959], No. 23127/60. Class 80 (2). A control knob 10 is secured on a shaft 22 by a series of tapered resilient fingers 19 on a split collet 20 carried by the shaft, the fingers being pressed inwardly by a coned sleeve 14 drawn axially by a radially offset screw 32 passing freely through a hole in the member 20 and engaging a threaded hole in the sleeve 14.
