885,364. Mountings for vehicle lamps. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Sept. 23, 1960 [Sept. 23, 1959], No. 32414/59. Class 75(3) A mounting for a vehicle lamp or other accessory on the bumper of a motor vehicle comprises a bracket 3 to be secured to the bumper 2 and a clamping member 4 having a tongue 7 passing behind the bumper, a carrier arm 8 for the lamp passing between a portion of the bracket and the upper portion of the member 4 and being secured by a screw 9 passing through aligned apertures in the parts, tightening of the screw pressing the tongue against the underside of the bumper. The member 4 may have swaged indentations 11 at the corners to resist bending stresses. The bracket 3 is formed with side flanges which extend down to the bumper and conceal the member 4.
