Abstract
885,073. Electric bells; supply circuits. ROTAX Ltd. Aug. 4, 1960 [Aug. 10, 1959], No. 27221/59. Classes 13 and 118. A support 4 carries two bell domes 5 and 6 of different resonant frequencies and two electromagnets 7 and 8, which are arranged to be energized alternately and have a common armature 10 adapted to strike the two bell domes 5 and 6 alternately as the electromagnets 7 and 8 are alternately energized. The supply circuit, Fig. 3, for the electromagnets 7 and 8 includes a multivibrator 24, a source of direct or rectified alternating current being connected to terminals 21 and 22. When the bells are switched off by changing over relay contacts 23, 27, 28 and 29, current passes through a variable resistor 30 to the electromagnet coils 7 and 8 in series, preventing icing of the moving parts at low ambient temperatures.
