Abstract
883,990. Anti-breakage flaps in skip hoists; feeding hoppers. PREPARATION INDUSTRIELLE DES COMBUSTIBLES. July 22, 1959 [Jan. 20, 1959], No. 25182/59. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (4). An anti-breakage flap 1 in a skip 3 is controlled by a connection to an hydraulic accumulator 7, the pressure in which increases as the flap 1 is depressed by a load, so that the accumulator serves to restore the flap 1 when the load is discharged. In the form illustrated, a ram 5 supporting the flap 1 is connected to the accumulator 7 through an adjustable restriction 8. A non-return valve 10 by-passes the restriction 8 to render it inoperative when the flap is being raised.
