Abstract

883,916. Adhesive bandages. ZACKHEIM, E. A. June 9, 1959, No. 19779/59. Class 81 (2). [Also in Group XVII] An adhesive bandage package unit comprises a tape coated on one side with adhesive and folded to form two overlapping contiguous panels having adhesive on the outside and a wrapper having two opposed inner surfaces adhered to the two panels respectively, the arrangement being such that on opening the wrapper the inner surfaces are separated and peeled from the tape and the tape is unfolded. A dressing pad 14 which is centrally located to expose adhesive on end sections 16, 17 of the tape. One end section 17 is folded back on the bandage with the adhesive outermost. Wrapper sheets 20, 21 are arranged one on each side of the folded bandage and their edges are sealed to form an envelope, the seal along one end of the envelope being spaced from the sheet ends to define tabs 30, 31 which are pulled apart to peel the sheets from one another and the tape. One wrapper sheet may be used to hold the bandage during application. Specification 754,848 is referred to.
