883,261. Broaching. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Jan. 22, 1960, No. 2355/60. Class 83 (3). A machine for removing a welding bulge 23 from a limb 13 of a welded chain link comprises a fork-shaped cutting tool 12 having two oppositely directed cutting edges 20, 21 and means for swinging the tool about the limb axis. A wheel 2 is rotated to swing levers 5, 6, attached to a lever 9 bearing the tool carrier 11. The levers 6 and 9 are joined by a piston 17 which can be operated to move the tool to and from the work. The edges 20, 21 and 22 on the tool trim off the metal 23. Specification 813,227 is referred to.
