882,829. Milling-cutters. PICANOL, J. April 21, 1958 [March 8, 1958], No. 12504/58. Class 83 (3). A bevel or hypoid gear-cutting tool has teeth 3 whose profiles are shaped as logarithmic spirals. The teeth are secured to the body 1 by screws 2. The spirals have a pole C on the axis of the cutter. The pressure angles of both faces are constant. The teeth may be sharpened on a face plane passing through the pole or on a face plane at right angles to the cutter axis. Specification 882,827 is referred to.
