Class 44. in a storage structure which is divided into an entrance compartment 18 and a storage compartment 19, there being a door 15 permitting access from outside to the entrance compartment and an interior door 20 connecting the entrance compartment with the storage compartment, locking means is provided; operative to prevent opening of the interior door when the entrance door is open and to. prevent opening of the entrance door when the interior door is open. As shown, the structure is constituted by the body 10 of a vehicle, the compartments 18 and 19 being formed by a partition 17 which includes the door 20. A metal facing 21 defines between itself and the partition 17 a free space 22 in which is located a roller conveyer 23, 24. An aperture is provided in the facing 21 in alignment with the door 20. The conveyer is tiltable about an axis 25 by a handle 26 and is accessible through an opening 27 in the facing 21 or through an opening 28 immediately above the door 20 in the partition 17. The locking means comprises a bolt 29 slidably attached to the storage compartment side of the partition 17 and operable by hand levers 31. One end of the bolt 29 is engageable in a hole in the door 15 to lock it in the closed position and the other end is engageable in a hole 30 of the door 20 in the closed position thereof, a complementary bolt 32 being engageable in another hole 33. Operation of the bolt 29 when the door 20 is opened is prevented by a spring-loaded shutter (not shown) which then blocks the adjacent end of the bolt when the door 20 is open. When the door 15 is open, it blocks that end of the bolt 29, to prevent opening of the door 20. A spring loaded bolt 34 is operable from the storage compartment to lock the door 15 in open position. Mirrors 35 and 36 in the space 22 and viewing windows above the apertures 27 and 28 permit an operative in one compartment to check on an operative in the other compartment. Two foam generators (not shown) are provided having outlets respectively in the two compartments 18, 19, the generator for compartment 18 being controlled by a switch (not shown) in the compartment 19 and the other generator being controlled by an impact or tilt switch in the compartment 18. A window 16 and seats 38 are provided for the operatives. A periscope may also be provided. An intercommunication system may be provided between the compartments 18 and 19 and the vehicle driver's cab, and an engine immobilising switch provided in the compartment 19 may be operated automatically by operation of the foam generators or by a siren.
