Abstract
881,526. Cooking stoves. SIMPLEX ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. June 9, 1958 [June 7, 1957], No. 18404/58. Divided out of 871,371. Class 126. A cooking stove which provides alternative heights of hob comprises a main body having a hob, an oven and a warming chamber below the oven and being formed at its lower end to stand on the floor with clearance between the stove doors and the floor, and a removable lower part with locating means between the two parts to prevent displacement of the main body. As shown, the body 10 has a front panel 17 to allow clearance between the door 12 of the warming chamber and a dished base 20 with a peripheral flange 24. Nuts 36 secured to the flange 24 receive screwed studs 35 the lower ends of which are inserted in apertures (not shown) in flanges 32 along the upper edges of the sheet metal support 27. The studs 35 may be removed or screwed up into the body 10 when it is used alone or may be enlarged and padded to act as feet. Specification 803,789 is referred to.
