Abstract

881,202. Rectilinear motion bearings. SPORK, E. E. May 3, 1960 [May 4, 1959], No. 15544/60. Class 12 (1). [Also in Group XIV] A sliding door roller mounting assembly comprises a synthetic plastic, or sheet metal roller support 25, screwed to the top of a door 13, and frusto-conical rollers 21 integral with a shaft 22 which run on rails 15 having mounting holes 19, and adjusting slots 18. The support has lugs 28 to prevent distortion, and the rollers are snapped into the bore 26 before securing to the door. In a modification, the upstanding portion 25 of the support is solid and is split to allow insertion of the rollers in the base of the support. The bases 23 of the support may be at right angles to each other for securing to the upper corner of a door.
