Abstract

880,844. Bearings. PARECHOC S.A. July 3, 1959 [July 10, 1958], No. 22944/59. Class 12 (1). A shock-absorbing bearing comprises. a pivot bearing 5 mounted in a bearing body 6 which is disposed with clearance in a housing 1, the latter having an annular centring seat 8 against which a frusto-conical surface 9 of the body 6 is pressed by a spring 7. The upper part of the body 6 comprises a frusto-conical stud. which engages a recess 10 in a cap 2 of the housing 1, In a modification, shown in Fig. 2, a chamfered edge 16 of a bearing body 12 co-operates with a frusto-conical seat 16 on a housing plug 14. The upper end of the bearing body 12 engages a stud 18a secured in the end of a housing 15. In another modification, the upper end 23, Fig. 3, of the bearing body is suspended on an annular spring 21.
