880,632. Adhesive labels. AVERY ADHESIVE LABEL CORPORATION. April 9, 1958 [Oct. 25,1957], No. 11171/58. Class 73 [Also in Group VIII] A laminated strip comprising a first backing web (12a) adhering to one side of a row of severed pieces (1 1a) of an attachment web coated on both sides with a pressure-sensitive adhesive material and of the same width as the first backing web, severed pieces of a second backing web adhering to the other side of the attachment web pieces and extending beyond them across the first backing web (see Group VIII) may be coiled up and placed in a dispenser 21, with the continuous backing strip 12a doubled back sharply over itself. When this strip is pulled, the tabs 11a with their second backing strips will be separated from the strip 12a and ejected from the dispenser with the adhesive layer 15 exposed. The tab is inverted and applied to a photograph or the like. The second backing strip is then removed to expose the other adhesive layer, in order that the photograph may be affixed to a desired surface.
