A runway for sliding cabinet doors or drawers has a channel section guideway 20 with grooves 21 in which moves a slide 24 held in place by and slidable by means of bearing pads 30 of nylon, polytetrafluoroethylene or like wear resisting material, the pads having rod-like portions engaging the groove 21 and grooves 26 in member 24 to which they are secured by screws 32. In a modification Fig. 6 the pads 30a fit into guide channel 20 and are secured thereto by screws 32a. In a further modification Fig. 8 only the guideway has grooves slide 24a being a plain channel.
