878,086. Electric motors. PICHON, J. A. May 21, 1958 [May 22, 1957], No. 16257/58. Class 35. The stator 2 of an electric motor is rockable against the torque produced by a weight 12 and the movement is used to regulate the load on the motor to its normal rating. The weight hangs on a cable 9 running on an arc 7 mounted on the lever. The lever is connected to mechanical or electrical means which regulate the load on the motor, e.g. by controlling the feed to a grinder. Oscillation is prevented by a damper 15. When the load is thrown off, the lever drops on to a switch 17 which shuts down the motor.
