Abstract

878,046. Garment racks. BURCO Ltd. Feb. 1, 1960 [April 28, 1959], No. 14418/59. Class 52(5). [Also in Group XIII] In means for mounting non-extensible rails 4 in drying cabinets and like appliances at least one end of a rail enters a housing 5 at the side 2 of the appliance and abuts against a resilient member contained within the housing, the other end of the rail being supported on the other side of the appliance. The housing 5 is in the form of a channel provided with holes for the reception of the rails 4. The resilient member may be a rubber tube contained within the housing 5 and compressed by the insertion of the rail. The other end of the rail is received in a channel 3 which may also contain a rubber tube. adapted to bite into the material of a furniture leg or the like when the ferrule is affixed thereto. The base of the ferrule may be bored to receive the stem of a castor or other runner.
