Abstract

861,382. Castors. HOMA ENGINEERING CO. (COSBY) Ltd. July 8, 1959 [July 8, 1958], No. 21848/58. Class 52(1). A. resiliently mounted castor with an outer fork 1 to which is pivoted an inner fork 11 carrying the wheel 14 has the volute spring 13 between the forks located and retained without anchoring screws by a protuberance 1À2 at the smaller end and a circular recess 7, at the larger end, cast in outer fork 1. A steel pin 15 extending between the sides 1 a of the fork 1 moves in slots 16 in the limbs I 1a of fork 11 to form a stop and is sheathed in polythene or rubber to dampen the shock of contact with the slot-ends.
