Abstract
The invention comprises 2-methyl-pentyl-(4)-hydrazine of the formula: CH3-CH(CH3)-CH2-CH(CH3)-NH-NH2, the preparation thereof by condensing hydrazine with 2-methyl-pentanone-(4) and reduction of the intermediate hydrazone derivative, and salts of said hydrazine derivative with a large number of organic and inorganic acids.ALSO:A pharmaceutical composition comprises 2 methyl - pentyl - (4) - hydrazine of the formula CH3-CH(CH3)-CH2-CH(CH3)-NH-NH2 and/or a salt thereof with a physiologically tolerated acid together with a pharmaceutical carrier suitable for enteral or parenteral administration. Typical preparations are tablets, dragees, solutions, suspensions and emulsions. Optional additions are preserving, stabilizing wetting or emulsifying agents and other drugs.
