A holder for small articles such as keys comprises a case having two deformable opposite sides 11 which are unsecured along a portion of the edge of the case to provide a mouth for insertion and removal of articles into and out of the case, the case being normally constrained so that the opposite sides are urged towards each other to cause the case and thus the interior thereof to assume a flattened condition and a flexible article-attachment means 27 which is connected at its one end to a stationary anchorage 26 within the case and is of such a length as to enable the other end to pass through the mouth of the case to the exterior thereof and which other end is adapted to have articles such as keys secured thereto whereby the flexible attachment means and the articles can be contained within the case and gripped by and between the sides thereof when the case is in flattened condition and by application of pressure in a direction substantially parallel with the sides when undeformed, the sides of the case can be moved apart to open the case to release the articles for easy removal from the case through the open mouth thereof and whilst remaining anchored thereto or to allow an insertion of articles in the case for retention therein when the pressure on the case is relaxed thus allowing the case to assume again a flattened condition. Inside the case is a frame 17 made of spring metal wire which is U-shaped and has a central limb 18 and two side limbs 19, the free ends of the limbs 19 being disposed adjacent the mouth of the case. The frame is secured in the case by two metal clips 22 secured one over each of the opposite corners of the mouth and a reinforcing strip of leather or like flexible material is interposed between the frame and the case and is secured to the case by adhesive. The central limb 18 of the frame has a loop which forms the anchorage 26 to which is connected a chain forming the attachment means 27, the other end of which has a ring 28. The edge portion of each side 11 at the mouth of the case is folded inwardly to enclose a strip metal spring which is normally straight and which must be bent by the pressure applied substantially parallel with the side to open the case. The clips 22 serve to secure the springs in position.
