876,350. Extruding. FELTEN & GUILLEAUME CARLSWERK A.G. Feb. 17, 1959 [June 14, 1958], No. 5445/59. Class 83 (4). In the extrusion of tubes and particularly cable sheathings of aluminium, a reduction in the extrusion pressure causes an enlargement of the extrusion gap to prevent the formation of bamboo rings. The mandrel lip 7 has an annular rib 8 and the die 5 has an internal annular constriction 9 which co-operate together to reduce the gap when pressure falls in the extrusion chamber 2. The mandrel or the die may be immovably supported during the extrusion.
