Abstract

Cellular polyurethanes are obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate with a hydroxyl group containing material, e.g. a polyester, polyesteramide or a polyether, in the presence of a nonionic surface active agent and either a finely divided solid or a fine suspension of gas bubbles. Catalysts, e.g. tertiary amines, and water may also be present. Lists of components and their preferred quantities are given, and the finely divided solids include inorganic pigments. Specification 733,624 is referred to.ALSO:Cellular polyurethanes are obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate with a hydroxyl group containing material, e.g. a polyester, polyesteramide or a polyether, in the presence of a non-ionic surface active agent and either a finely divided solid or a fine suspension of gas bubbles.
