872,575. Machine-tool details. WITZIG, E. K., and FRANK, R. Aug. 19, 1958 [Aug. 27, 1957], No. 26645/58. Class 83 (3). An indexing mechanism for a work-table 9, Fig. 1, which can be stopped at each working station by a stop limit switch 17 actuated by a cam-plate 15 is characterized in that the driving shaft 20 for the work-table is coupled to an exchangeable gear-wheel 12 which can be selectively engaged with an indixing gearwheel 13 which drives the cam-plate 15 actuating the stopping device. The drive may be from an electric or hydraulic motor 18; if the latter is employed an additional dog 22, Fig. 2, may be incorporated with the cam-plate to operate a throttling device 23 to slow down the motor prior to stopping. The gear 13 is carried on a sliding member mounted in brackets 14 so that the gear 13 may be disengaged from gear 12 by moving the handle 24.
