Abstract
An electron discharge tube has a grid made of wire of high melting point metal, coated with an alloy comprising at least one precious metal from the group Au, Ag, in a proportion of 30-60% and at least one common metal from the group Cu, Ni, in a total quantity of 70-40%. Examples of alloys are 40% Ag, 55% Cu, 5% Ni and 60% Au, 40% Ni.
