Class 20(3) In a sliding window or door of a bookcase, &c., comprising along at least one sliding edge, e.g. the top edge, a track member 8 spring mounted as by spiral springs 9 to yield in the plane of the window, for releasable overlapping engagement between the. window 3 and a frame 2 in which it slides, releasable means such as grub screws 10 limit such yielding of the member 8 to such an extent that the overlapping engagement is maintained to prevent inadvertent or unauthorised removal of the window. The screws 10 are removably inserted in holes in a window frame bar on which the track member 8 is spring mounted and extend across the channel in which the member 8 moves against the action of the springs 9.
