Abstract
870,158. Selsyn machines. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO. Ltd. March 31, 1960 [Oct. 20, 1959], No. 35494/59. Addition to 870,157. Class 35. In a modification of the electrostatic form of the invention described in the parent Specification, the inner rotary member interacts with a pair of outer stator members in mutual electrical quadrature both members having pairs of oppositely charged plates. As shown, the rotor 3 has a pair of electrodes 31, 32 of almost 180 degrees each, while the stator elements 1, 2 each have electrodes 11, 12 and 21, 22 of similar arcuate extent. The device may be in linear form, and stator and rotor may be interchanged.
