Class 20(3) In a drop window installation in a motor vehicle the drop-glass 1 is mounted in a rigid base frame 2 the opposite ends of which each carry a pair of ring bearings 5, e.g. of nylon spaced apart vertically as on brackets 4 fixed to the frame 2 and slide conjointly on one of a pair of upright rigid rod, preferably tubular, guides 6. The latter guides 6 are adjustable at their lower ends by being each located by a snugly-fitting spigot 9 fixed to a bracket 10 adjustably secured to the bottom of the door casing 7 whilst the upper ends of the guides are held in brackets 8 fixed to the door casing. The guides may be curved for use with curved windows.
