The arms 8 of the garage lift described in the parent Specification are pivoted in a member 5 which is secured, by a bolt 9, in a recess 4 formed at the top of the piston-rod 1 of the hydraulic lifting-ram 3. Sealing-rings 10, 11 prevent foreign matter from entering bearings 6, and an oil bath formed in the recess 4.
