867,410. Hinges and pivots. STAG CABINET CO. Ltd. Aug. 30, 1957 [Aug. 30, 1956], No. 26590/56. Class 65(2). A dressing table mirror 1 is pivoted behind its centre of gravity about a horizontal axis by hinging means arranged so that when the mirror is angularly displaced through a predetermined range of adjustment its centre of gravity remains substantially stationary. The centre of gravity may move slightly in the horizontal direction. The hinging means comprises a plate 3 secured to the mirror and formed with an almost vertical slot 6 and a cam edge 8 engaging elements 4, 5, respectively secured to the support 2. The element 4 may be a screw and the element 5 a roller.
