Abstract

837,565. Watch stands. ELPECK INDUSTRIES Ltd. Oct. 14, 1958 [July 15, 1957], No. 22409/57. Class 52(5) [Also in Group XVIII] A clock casing is so constructed that the clock may be used with the dial in either a substantially upright position or a substantially horizontal position.. The movement is contained in a cup-shaped housing 1, Figs. 1 and 2, the flange 2 of which is rotatably clamped between two plates 6, 9. The top and bottom edges of the plate 6 or of both plates 6 and 9 engage grooves in cross-bars 14, 15, Fig. 1, interconnecting two plates 13 grooves in which receive the side edges of the plate 6 or of both plates 6 and 9. The glass 22 is received in grooves 18 of the cross-bars 14, 15. The plates 13 each have supporting portions 19, 20, 21. When portions 20, 21 are in use the clock dial is substantially upright and with portions 19, 20 in use the dial is substantially horizontal. The dial is correctly orientated by rotating the housing 1 relatively to the plates 6, 7 until the projection 8, Fig. 2, abuts one or other of the stops 3, 4.
