867,381. Retaining parts on shafts. YOUNG & SONS Ltd., J. W. July 20, 1959 [July 22, 1958], No. 23443/58. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group XXV] A fastening for attaching a fishing reel to its housing, for example, comprises a socket-like cap b which is grooved externally at b<SP>2</SP>, the groove at one part being in communication with the socket b<SP>1</SP> by means of a slot, and a spring wire having a loop c engaged in the groove b<SP>2</SP> and a part c<SP>3</SP> extending through the slot into the socket b<SP>1</SP>, the part c<SP>3</SP> being resiliently movable to retract it from said socket; the cap b co-operates with a stem a having a reduced end a<SP>1</SP> which is grooved at a<SP>2</SP> to receive the part c<SP>3</SP> of the wire, and the extremity of the end a<SP>1</SP> is coneshaped so that the stem a will be automatically engaged in the socket bl of the cap.
