Abstract

866,795. Catch fastenings. BUTTERWORTH, C. Sept. 30, 1959 [Oct. 1, 1958], No. 31297/58. Class 44. A one piece door catch is moulded from a plastics material and comprises a cylindrical housing A and a member B in the housing the member being moulded with an outwardly convex end to project from the housing and with a resilient shank b to allow for depression of the convex end into the housing. The resilient shank is in the form of a two start helical thread which is united with the end of the housing remote from the outwardly convex end. The housing is adapted to be fixed to the end or side face of a door by means of screws or alternatively can be moulded to be pressed into recess in the door in which case ribs are provided to ensure a tight fit.
