Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the general formula: <FORM:0866448/IV (b)/1> in which R1 is a C1-3 alkyl radical, R2 and R3 are C1-3 alkyl radicals and R2 or R3 can also be hydrogen, and R4 is a phenyl radical which is substituted one or more times by alkyl radicals, halogen atoms or nitro, hydroxy, alkoxy or methylene-dioxy groups; and optical isomers and acid addition salts thereof; and the preparation thereof by N-alkylating appropriately substituted piperidones -(4) or by reacting a compound of the formula: <FORM:0866448/IV (b)/2> with an amine of the formula R1NH2, and, if desired, converting the products of either of these processes into their acid addition salts. The compounds may also be prepared by treating compounds of the formula CH3,CO,CH2,C (R2R3),NH,R1 or CH3,CO,CH2,CH(R4),NH,R1 with R4,CHO or R2,CO,R3 respectively. The products are psychotropic drugs. 2,2-Dimethyl-6-aryl-piperidones-(4) are prepared by reacting diacetonamine oxalate with appropriate aryl aldehydes.
