Abstract
865,812. Tracks for vehicles. LUXEMBOURGEOISE DE BREVETS ET DE PARTICIPATIONS. Sept. 27, 1957 [Sept. 28, 1956], No. 30422/57. Class 79(1). A track-link for a vehicle track has a rigid framework 3 comprising longitudinal elements 1 that interconnect lugs (a), (b), for hinges at either end of the frame 3 which is embedded in a body of rubber or a flexible plastic material. The elements 1 are elongated steel bars or strips. The ends of the inner bars 1 have pairs of projecting lugs 2 connected by spacer means (Fig. 4 not shown) to form driving teeth. The elements 1 are cranked to allow for offsetting of the hinges (a), (b). The hingeholes of the lugs (a), (b), carry rubber linings 11 bonded to, or held between, metal bushes 12, 13,. to house a hinge pin 5. The frame 3 may be made of metal stampings fastened to the elements 1 (Fig. 5, not shown), or of metal or a suitable plastic cast or moulded on to the elements.
