865,329. Pressure-sensitive adhesive structures. SMITH & NEPHEW Ltd., T. J. Jan. 6, 1960 [Jan. 7, 1959], No. 591/59. Class 140. A pressure-sensitive adhesive structure comprises a film or sheet of polyvinyl chloride or a copolymer of vinyl chloride with a lesser proportion of vinyl acetate or vinylidene chloride, plasticized by the methyl ester of hydrogenated abietic acid, coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. The adhesive composition may also contain the methyl ester of hydrogenated abietic acid. The film or sheet may also contain a known polymeric plasticizer e.g. a polyester. Specified adhesives contain pale crepe rubber, glyceryl ester of hydrogenated abietic acid, poly-#-pinene resin and various known additives.
