Abstract

1443768 Laminating textiles with adhesive BASFAG 18 Dec 1973 [29 Dec 1972] 58512/73 Heading B5N [Also in Divisions C3 and D1] A polyethylene terephthalate cloth is laminated at #5 atmos. gauge per 400 cm.<SP>2</SP> and 140-180‹ C. to a cloth of the same material which has been impregnated with a copolyamide adhesive by treatment at # 200 atmos. and 140-200‹ C. with a 0À3 mm. thick film of the copolyamide. The oopolyamide is formed, by weight, from: 20-40% #-caprolactam, 10-30% hexamethylenediammonium adipate, and 30-50% of an α,#-diamine salt of dodecanedioic acid. The α,#-diamine may be hexamethylenediamine, 4,4<SP>1</SP> - diaminodicyclohexylmethane, or 2,2,4 - trimethylhexamethylenediamine.
