863,271. Wall partitions. ATTWOOD, C. W. Aug. 30, 1957, No. 27424/57. Class 20(4) A partition comprises a frame 20, Fig. 8, formed of channeled members 21, Fig. 5, held together at the corners by angle members 25, Fig. 4, in which frame a panel 30 is held by approximately U-shaped moulding members 31 of shorter length than the panels which embrace the edges of the panel and fit into the slots in the members 21, the gaps between the edges of the mouldings being filled by right-angled corner members 40. In assembling the partition the angle members 25 are bolted in position by nuts 25B, Fig. 3, engaging the inner ends of the flanges 21B of the slots in the frame members 21 and the U-shaped mouldings 31 are placed in position on the panel 30, Fig. 8. The panel is then fitted into the frame opening and the mouldings 31 moved outwardly so that their base portions 32 clip into the slots in the frame members 21. The corner fill pieces 40 are then secured in position by screws 41 engaging tapped holes in the members 25.
