Abstract
862,667. Clips and fastenings; stud and socket fastenings; locking bolt-like pins. F.T. PRODUCTS Ltd.. March 3, 1959 [March 5, 1958], No. 7107/58. Classes 44 and 89(1). A fastener 23, Fig. 2, consists of a strip of metal, e.g. hard-rolled phosphor-bronze or carbon-steel, bent so as to comprise a baseportion 24, upstanding shank-elements 25, 251 and wing-elements 26, 261 provided with a pair of legs 12, 27 and 121, 271 respectively; the legs 12, 12<SP>1</SP> extend downwardly and the legs 27, 271 extend upwardly, and the latter are each provided with a lug 13<SP>1</SP>. The fastener 23 is used for securing a coil-former 30, Fig. 3, a shielding can 31, and an electric connectorplate 28 to a panel 32; the former is gripped between the shank-elements 25, 251, the can 31 is engaged by the lugs 131, and the plate 28 is secured under the wing-elements 26, 261, by inwardly-bent shoulders 181, 191, on each of the legs 27, 27<SP>1</SP>, and assists in pressing the shankelements 25, 251 into engagement with the former 30. The legs 12, 121, are passed through apertures in the panel 32, and may be secured by being twisted, clenched-over or welded, or they may be provided with integral-hooks for snapping into engagement with the undersurface of the panel 32.
