860,919. Handles. STRAUSS, E. April 22, 1959, No. 13634/59. Class 52(1). [Also in Group XXV] A plate having a row of tapped holes is slidably mounted in one end of a bar-type door or drawer handle so that a slight displacement of the plate can align one of the tapped holes with a bolt hole in the door or drawer. As shown, when one end of the handle has been secured by bolts 3, the pointed end of a bolt 14 displaces plate 11 so as to align one pair of arcuate tapped recesses 12 with the hole through which it is inserted. Plate 11 is slidably mounted in grooves 10. A retaining spring 17 engages a depression (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) in the plate.
