Abstract

858,600. Compasses and dividers. BROADHURST, C. J. Oct. 1, 1959 [Nov. 26, 1958], No. 38057/58. Class 97(3) A drawing compass of the type in which a boss 11 secured to one arm 12 carries an ordinary pencil, is provided with a divider attachment in the form of a pin 15 secured to a body 16 having a keyhole slot 17. On rotating the pin 15 downwardly from the position shown dotted in Fig. 1, the body 16 is moved upwardly so that the narrow sides of the slot 17 engage channels 14 provided on the boss 11, lugs 18 on the body 16 engaging the boss 11 to retain it in position.
