858,454. Egg cartons. DIAMOND NATIONAL CORPORATION, [formerly DIAMOND GARDNER CORPORATION]. April 13, 1959 [June 20, 1958], No. 12503/59. Class 18. Each cell 12 of a moulded pulp egg carton comprises a polygonal base 14 from which extend a number of upwardly diverging, plane walls 16 each having at least one thinned strip 22 on its outer surface, the strips 22 being thinner than the walls 16. Conical sections 18 are formed above the walls 16 of which those of adjacent cells converge to a junction 20. In a modification the strips of the walls of two adjacent cells are joined at the juncture to form a continuous strip.
