In an inductive telephony system, a microphone and amplifier are connected in an enlongated loop around which are positioned inductive receivers. The loop is arranged to restrict the field to a predetermined area. The embodiment described is intended for classroom teaching of deaf children with minimum interference with similar systems in adjoining classrooms.
