857,516. Colour matching apparatus. INTERNATIONAL FARVEFABRIK A. S. March 8, 1957, No. 7778/57. Class 97(1) [Also in Group XV] A device for selecting the colour of machinery comprises a plurality of loose sheets each bearing a colour representation defining a machine or machine part at least some being transparencies to give a composite colour picture when the sheets are superimposed in registration, and a folder 1, Fig. 1, having pockets 4, 5 for storage of the sheets, a side panel exhibiting specimens 2, 3 showing the tone and hue of standard paints and another panel carrying pins 9 for registration of the sheets. As shown in Fig. 3 sheet 71 bears a picture of the entire machine in a single colour, sheet 72 is transparent except for a colour image of certain parts of the machine, whilst sheet 73 carries machine part images in a third colour. The effect of the colours on the appearance of the machine can therefore be observed by placing the sheets in super-position by the engagement of pins 9 with holes 10, 11.
