855,904. Attachments for suspending ropes. RELIANCE ROPE ATTACHMENT CO. Ltd. Sept. 15, 1959, No. 31402/59. Class 109. Attachment means for suspending a rope 6, e.g. from a pin 1, comprises a member 2 U-shaped in section, the limbs 4 converging on their inner faces 7 and diverging on their outer faces 8 towards the open end of the member 2, gripping members 5, preferably partannular in section and interlocking at 10 to prevent axial displacement, converging on their outer surfaces to seat against the faces 7 of the member 2, and collars 9, preferably having tapered inner surfaces to seat on the faces 8 of the member 2, so that tension on the rope 6 pulls the members 5 into tighter engagement with the rope 6. The diverging outer surface of the member 2 prevents the collars 9 from slipping off the member 2 due to gravity.
