Abstract
855,682. Brackets for telephones and directories. SERRA, M. Sept. 11, 1957 [Sept. 12, 1956], No. 28593/57. Classes 52(3) and 52(5) A telephone bracket 2 is provided with a slidable pull-out support for a directory E. A platform 25 is slidably mounted in side bars 14 which rest on pins 18 on side members 1 of the bracket and which have at their inner ends pins 16 working in slots 17 on the side members. A directory holder consists of a spine part 10 hinged to two wings 9, 11 the wing 9 being hinged at 13 to platform 25. Normally the directory lies transversely under the bracket. To use it, the platform 25 is pulled out till pins 16 are in parts 17a of slots 17 and then the holder is turned through 90 degrees about pivot 13, a pin 20 on wing 9 riding in an arcuate guide slot in platform 25. The latter is then pushed back slightly till pins 16 rest in the parts 17c of slots, 17 and the holder can then be opened. Pulling out of the directory causes lighting of a lamp 8. In a modification, three directories on three superimposed slidable supports are provided, extraction of any one of which lights lamp 8. Securing brackets in position. As shown in Fig. 7, the wall plate of the bracket is formed as two channels 3, the parallel flanges of which have each a line of apertures, the lines being so disposed at different levels that nails C slope downwards into the wall &c.
