855,587. Television. FERNSEH G.m.b.H. April 12, 1957 [April 12, 1956], No. 12032/57. Class 40(3). [Also in Group XL(c)] In a system for recording television signals upon film, the signals are passed through an amplifier 1 to a non-linear circuit 2 (see Group XL(c)) having the response shown in Fig. 3, and then through a further amplifier 3 to a cathoderay tube 4. Film is exposed by means of a camera 5 and it is stated that more of the film characteristic may be utilized by employing the circuit which gives greater gain at the extreme black and white signals.
